Before we "leave," we would like to look back one last time on the beautiful moments we created together. We think of the numerous reviews you wrote, filled with warm words and memories that made us smile every time.

Entrepreneurship was an adventure full of challenges and triumphs. The corona crisis presented us with unprecedented trials, but thanks to your support and loyalty, we were able to keep going digitally. We got through difficult times together and came out stronger, and you can see that in the following acknowledgements:

It is thanks to you that our café became a lively, warm place where everyone felt at home. You made De Kloostergang what it was: a place of gathering, friendship and fun, and above all the love of authentic, (h)honest Trappist products. Above all, a special thanks to all the glasses that fell and all the banter and laughter, in front of and behind the bar .

Believe us, we miss you.

With mixed feelings we say goodbye, but we hope our paths will cross again in the future, we are sure of that.

Continue to enjoy each Trappist, we continue to spread the word both online and at our Trappist tastings.

Dear lover of Trappist,

With a heart full of memories and a sob in our voice, we would like to announce to you that after five unforgettable years, our beloved Kloostergang we are finally closing the cloister gate at the Aarschot location. This decision weighs heavily on us, but we look back on a fantastic time in which we laughed, cried and shared countless stories/liters together.

The past six years have been an adventure in themselves for us. What began as a dream of two twenty-somethings, or they sometimes called us ' the two bosom friends' grew into a beloved meeting place for many of you. We have learned a tremendous amount, discovered and above all enjoyed every day we had the privilege of hosting you.

You helped us make our dream a reality, and for that we are eternally grateful. The countless visits from abroad gave us the energy to keep going and gave our concept a unique aspect. What started as a world trip from abbey to abbey is a unique story that we will carry in our backpack for the rest of our lives.

To all monks and monials a sincere Thank You for enriching our lives, blessing our concept and teaching the wise lesson of "monks patience"!

2 young, passionate people who run a Trappist café very well. Original and nice decoration, a bit of a brown café from the old days and all the Trappist beers from all over the world on the menu. Some also on draught... Very exceptional. Please keep up the good work. You can also eat very tasty cheese and meat platters... everything from Trappist monasteries.

Superb restaurant with a fantastic concept! This place is run by two passionate young guys. A delicious collection of Trappist beers, known and (to me) unprecedented! You can also enjoy an assortment of cheese and other products. There is a cosy atmosphere in the shop and it is beautifully decorated!
